MSC Board Elections
The elections will be held at the April
General Membership meeting. You will only
be allowed to vote if you filled out a Official
Membership Form online or at a meeting
and it was turned in by March 15th.

The nominees will be speaking briefly at
the meeting and be sure to check your
email after April 1st to read a quick brief
about them and why they want to run.
There will be a Heartlink Seminar May
7th, 2008 from 9am to 2pm. It is a
wonderful program that is geared for
new military spouses and people new
to the base, but spouses that have
more years "active duty" can always
walk away with something too! For
more information, contact the A&FRC
at 257-3333 or visit the
Heartlink Page
Hope to see you there!
This is a survey that is sent out to randomly selected active duty members and spouses. This survey is the
best way for community members to make their opinions and needs known.  The results of the survey will be
used by base leadership and the Air Force to target resources where they are most needed and enhance the
well-being of the community. It is a website link and totally anonymous. Survey notification (Web site address
for the survey) will be sent to the home address of each spouse chosen to participate. Please take the few
minutes to fill this out if you are selected, every voice counts and you may be able to make a huge difference!
Any questions, please contact the A&FRC at 257-3333.

“The 2008 Community Assessment Survey is a top priority,” stated Ann Lukens, POC for Airman &
Family Readiness Center.
“It is the best way for us to listen to Air Force spouses and then provide
services to help them meet their needs.  It allows them to express their opinions anonymously so
participants can respond openly and honestly to issues that affect them every day.”

The Thrift Shop is looking for a new bookkeeper.

The Bookkeeper job consists of:

  • Maintain log of current consignors
  • Record items sold into consignors contracts after each business day
  • Record deposits/withdrawals and reconcile savings and checking accounts using Quicken software
  • Responsible for depositing sales money into checking account at Southeastern FCU on base after each business day
  • Prepare consignment checks monthly using Quicken and Versa check programs from home computer
  • Prepare income/expense report monthly for MSC
  • Prepare year-end report for MSC after Thrift Shop closure in Spring
  • Spend about 5 hrs/wk on bank deposits and updating the contracts.  Preparing checks and reports takes about 10-12 hrs
depending on the number of consignors and contracts we have. So,it's probably an average of about 30 hrs/month.  We
currently have 94 consignors and over 1000 contracts.

If interested, please bring your resume to the Moody AFB Thrift Shop Tuesdays or Fridays, 9:30am - 2:00pm.
